The Bauerfeind ManuLoc Rhizo Long is a longer version of the ManuLoc Rhizo. It stabilizes the wrist, thumb and large parts of the forearm, helping to relieve severe pain caused by irritation, combined injuries, or surgery. The long stabilizing orthosis also support treatment provided over several stages, as the thumb support can initially be loosened and then completely removed later on as the patients recovery processes. The ManuLoc immobilizes the wrist and thumb in the neutral position and helps to alleviate pain (carpometacarpal and metacarpophalangeal joint of the thumb.) It includes and additional fourth strap for extra stabilization and is recommended for a forearm length of 8-1/4" or more, measured from the wrist.

The material is made from soft, seamless, lightweight, latex-free material, with air pores, and allows allows air to circulate so the skin can breathe. Manuloc Rhizo lies flat against the wrist and still feels comfortable even after hours of wear. Three anatomically pre-shaped aluminum stay immobilize the wrist in a functional position, relieve strain, and limit radial and ulnar movement. Can be adjusted if needed. Both the wrist metacarpal bar and thumb metacarpal stay immobilize while still allowing range of motion for the fingers. The thumb brace fixes the thumb in a relaxed opposition position using na individually shapeable aluminum frame. Muscle pull is minimized, which relaxes the lateral ligaments.

The immobilization of the wrist and thumb relieves pain immediately and prevents inappropriate mechanical stress. It can be adjusted in length for optimal fit or removed as the condition improves. All fingers are then released for controlled gripping while the wrist remains secured. Offers multi-stage therapies with secure immobilization: a hook and loop tab allows the gradual release of the thumb immobilization to allow a step by step mobilization of the metacarpophalangeal joint.

The brace can be opened completely with three large hook and loop fastenings, making it easy to put on and take off with one hand. Right and left specific for optimal fit. The MaunLoc Rhizo can be used to treat moderate carpal tunnel syndrome, osteoarthritis, tenosynovitis, hand and wrist pain, acute and chronic wrist and thumb irritation, post-operative immobilization of the wrist and thumb, post-traumatic conditions of the wrist and thumb and degenerative conditions.
