DiaMedical Sono Vascular Doppler

The DiaMedical Sono Vascular Doppler uses high-frequency sound waves to measure blood flow through arteries and veins. The Vascular Doppler measurement is used to check the flow of blood through arteries and large veins throughout the body and is particularly useful for diagnosing peripheral vascular disease. Audio output can be heard through the speaker or through headphones. The DiaMedical Sono Vascular Doppler is not intended for ophthalmic use.

      Probe Comparisons


      4 MHz Vascular Probe
      • Typically used to locate deep-set blood vessels
      • Not ideal for detecting a fetal heartbeat during pregnancy
      • Narrow beam used for deeper penetration than the 8 Mhz probe

      5 MHz Vascular Probe
      • Deeper penetration than the 8Mhz probe, shallower than the 4 Mhz probe.
      • Most commonly used to locate deep leg veins in post-surgical patients.

      8 MHz Vascular Probe
      • Higher frequency provides better resolution of blood vessels
      • Used to locate superficial blood vessels throughout the body
