For home or institutional use, the lift is chargeable from an AC outlet. The lift will not worked when plugged in, so the battery does not need to be removed. The jumbo actuator pump has an emergency button that can be switched to manual in order to lower the patient regardless of electricity. When the battery is fully charged, the "Charge" light will shut off. The heavy gauge construction offers durability, while the wide base adds stability.
