Respiratory Muscle Trainer
The newly designed Breather 1.1 teaches diaphragmatic breathing to improve breath support, producing positive results in cough effort, speech training, and swallow safety. It effectively uses Resistive Breathing Training (RBT) to rebuild strength in both inspiratory and expiratory muscles of the neck and throat. With increased mouth comfort, the device can be used with metered-dose inhalers, nebulizers, and breathing or speaking valves to strengthen both inhalation and exhalation.
Strengthens Inspiratory and Expiratory Muscles
Inspiratory resistance helps strengthen the diaphragm and the external intercostal muscles (the accessory breathing muscles surrounding the ribs) and the accessory muscles of the neck. Exhalation resistance helps strengthen and tone the internal intercostals and abdominal muscles. The Breather 1.1 may also help clear mucus in the airways, making breathing smoother. This unique, ergonomic handheld tool provides enhanced dual resistance settings that operate independently.
