Maintains Neutral Foot Positioning
The HealWell Soft Ease Multi-AFO and Heel Suspender is designed to position the foot in neutral alignment with the heel completely suspended. The unique shape allows the heel to float in an air cavity with absolutely no contact, helping minimize inversion and eversion of the foot. Ideal for the treatment and prevention of non-fixed ankle contractures and foot drop, the ankle foot orthosis cushions the leg with extra comfort padding at the sensitive Achilles area.
Features Integrated Padded Toe Post
The rigid brace with a resilient plastic base is designed to fit the wearer comfortably and provide medial/lateral stabilization to the ankle. It also features an integrated padded toe post to protect the toes from contact with bed linens, helping prevent skin breakdown. The orthopedic support comes complete with fully adjustable straps to accommodate changes in edema.
Eliminates Pressure and Prevents Ulcer Formation
Providing support to either the right or left leg, the HealWell Soft Ease eliminates pressure on the heel and prevents the formation of ulcers. The ankle foot orthosis is available in small/medium (fits shoe sizes: women's 5-10/ men's 4-9) and large/extra-large (fits shoe sizes: women's 10+/ men's 10-13). The brace is recommended to be removed every few hours to assess the skin and check the patient's lower extremity for signs of contracture or decubitus ulcer.
