The Rolyan Anti-Spasticity Ball Splints are added with Optiperf, perforated areas to increase air circulation. It is intended to help prevent deformity in the presence of mild to moderate hypertonicity. The splints may be used following CVA and traumatic brain injury, and can be used to aid with Parkinson's disease. The strategic placement of this perforation reduces the accumulation of perspiration. It improves wearing comfort and contributes to compliance. The wrist area is not perforated to maintain the strength of the splint.
