Rocker boards, which feature a hard flat top resting on a rounded base, are utilized to assist patients in improving balance, motor coordination skills, and core strength. The Rolyan BEEP Board adds a unique audio cue for the user, where if the user’s balance is off, it will trigger a button on the bottom of the board and a “beep” will be heard.
For patients that have a difficulty sensing their balance is off, it provides an additional cue to correct their balance. Side-to-side rocking motions allow for lateral balance reactions, making it ideal for use in slip and fall prevention protocols. This in turn leads to building self-confidence and core stability in patients and reducing the fear of falling in elderly patients.
The rocker board top features a non-slip surface; while the bottom surface features slip-resistant foam pads that help absorb weight shifting and slipping for added stability.
