The SAM Pelvic Sling II is a force controlled circumferential pelvic belt that is scientifically proven to safely and effectively reduce and stabilize open-book pelvic ring fractures. It has a patented autostop buckle prevents over-tightening. A soft, vapor-permeable interior fabric provides comfort, and prevents skin irritation and reduces odor. The narrow width in front allows access for external friction, urinary cauterization and interventional radiology. A low friction slider lining facilitates patient transfers, and is easily applied by a single responder. The sling can be disinfected for re-use, is radiolucent, and is not recommended for use on children.
