The contact material placed on the wounds are made from a woven, nylon fabric with sealed edges. The contact material can be placed underneath gauze or other dressings. During dressing removal and changes, the contact layer lessens user pain while minimizing disruption of granulating tissue. For a quicker healing time, the layer maintains a moist environment.
