The Bauerfeind ManuLoc is a wrist orthosis that is prescribed for use following a diagnosis of "mouse hand", carpal tunnel syndrom, or after an operation or other irritation. It stabilizes and protects the wrist while allowing gripping movements. Inappropriate mechanical stress is avoided. The soft, seamless, lightweight, latex free material with air pores allow air to circulate so the skin can breathe. Three anatomically pre-shaped aluminum stays immobilize the wrist in a functional position, relieve strain and limit radail and ulnar movement. Can be adjusted if needed. The brace can be opened completely with three large hook and loop fastenings, making it easy to put on and take off with one hand. The Bauerfeind ManuLoc may be used to treat mild carpal tunnel syndrome, oseteoarthritis, tenosynovitis, hand and wrist pain, acute and chronic wrist irritation, post-operative immobilization of the wrist, post-traumatic conditions, degenerative conditions, and partial paralysis.
