For the treatment and prevention of carpal tunnel syndrome, the orthosis provides dorsal support to the wrist. With the wrist support, the fingers can still be used to an extent. With multilayers for added softness, the hand orthosis is ideal for gradual extension of non-fixed wrist, hand, or finger flexion. Being easy to custom fit, the orthosis does not need tools or heat guns to mold to the user. The covers are washable and absorbent while the straps help prevent skin breakdown. The orthosis comes with side wings that help prevent ulnar/radial deviation. The straps accommodate slight fluctuations in edema and fragile skin. The orthosis comes with a removable splint insert that can be cleaned with warm water and soap. With not stretching the Thenar Eminence, the orthosis resists strong Flexion Synergy as well.
