For accurate measurements of edema, the volumeters can be filled with water, place hand in water, and measure the overflow in the graduated cylinder. The cylinders have no meniscus in order to simplify the reading of it. The Deluxe Volumeter are only made from a single piece of Lucite, thus eliminating three of the side-joints. Deluxe also offers more patient comfort with a rounded top edge.
