The LASIK Eye Model is made of hard, durable plastic and measures 5.75" in diameter. It is realistically colored and textured and is designed primarily for patient education in LASIK surgery.
The realistic "flap" in the front of the model simulates the incision by the surgeon during the LASIK surgery, whereby the flap pivots back and forth.
In addition to reassuring the patient, the model also provides the opportunity to demonstrate the surgical effect on the focal length of the eye, and how acuity is improved through surgery. Quick and easy to use, this model will save the doctor or technician time.
